Founded in Lancashire, The Valley Pet Shop was born from a lifelong passion for animals and a dream to create something meaningful. Every sale helps us take another step toward our long-term goal — to build an animal sanctuary and educational campsite, where rescued animals can live in peace and families can reconnect with nature.
We supply natural dog treats, nutritious pet food, and eco-friendly bundles that support pets’ health and happiness, while also giving back to the wider animal world.
A Lifelong Love of Rescue Animals
Since the age of sixteen, every animal in our family has been a rescue. Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds — each one has had a story, a challenge, and a lesson to share.
For over eight years, I was deeply involved in animal rescue and rehabilitation, helping to care for and rehome hundreds of animals who had been neglected, abandoned, or misunderstood. Those years shaped my entire outlook on life and inspired the creation of The Valley Pet Shop.
That experience taught me that healing takes time, patience, and love — not just for animals, but for people too. It’s why our business focuses on natural, kind, and holistic pet care, so every animal — whether in your home or in our future sanctuary — can live their happiest, healthiest life.
From Dog Behaviourist to Pet Shop Owner
Before starting The Valley Pet Shop, I worked as a dog behaviourist, helping families rebuild trust and understanding with their pets. Many behavioural issues come from fear, uncertainty, or unmet needs — not bad behaviour.
That knowledge guides every product we choose — from calming treats and enrichment toys to gentle grooming products — all designed to support your pet’s mental and emotional wellbeing.
