CannyCollar (size 2)

CannyCollar (size 2)

A thoughtfully crafted head collar, the Canny Collar helps transform even the most determined pullers into calm, cooperative walkers through effective yet gentle design.

 Why it works

Patented behind‑the‑head design ensures the slip line over the nose doesn’t ride into the eyes or yank the head to one side—keeping pressure centered and safe  .

Pressure‑and‑release training method: When your dog pulls, gentle backward pressure is applied via the slip line across the muzzle; the moment they ease up, the pressure automatically releases. This encourages self‑correcting behavior  .

Comfortable, breathable fit: The collar around the neck is padded and soft, and the slip line is light—dogs can pant, breathe, and even carry toys without restriction  .

Secure fastening: Nickel‑plated steel buckle ensures durability, and rear placement prevents dogs from removing it with their paws  .

Dual‑mode use: Easily switch between training mode (nose band on) and regular collar mode (nose band off) to gradually wean your dog off pulling behavior  .

Use & Training Tips

1. Fit correctly: Collar sits behind ears, slip line guided under chin by plastic ring. Snug enough that it cannot be pulled off over the head  .

2. Walking technique: Keep leash short but loose; when pulling occurs, give gentle backward pressure, then instantly release on stoppage—and praise!  .

3. Desensitisation: The first time the nose line goes on, your dog may paw it off. Walk through calmly, reducing leash tension, using encouragement so your dog learns to focus on walking—not the collar  .

4. Off‑lead use: Leave the collar on—drop the slip line and cross it behind the head. Secure under the chin using included clips, never fasten your leash to the clips themselves  .

5. Avoid long retractable leads—long slack may displace the slip line. Always use a shorter training lead (~4 ft) for consistency  .
